Plugins
What are Plugins?
Plugins are small modules, generally created by a third party, which expand Buddi's functionality. As of Buddi 3.0, there are a number of types of plugins, including Report (to make new reports for Buddi), Import / Export / Synchronize (to allow transfer of data between Buddi and another program), and a generic type which can be used to do extend the core functionality of Buddi.
I maintain a small collection of plugins (some written by myself, and some by various third parties) on the Buddi Plugins download page.
How to Install Plugins
After you have downloaded a plugin, it is very simple to load it into Buddi. Just go to Buddi's Preferences screen (Edit -> Preferences or Buddi -> Preferences if you are on a Mac), and select the Plugins tab. Click on Add, and select the plugin file which you have downloaded. When you hit OK, the plugins will be loaded into Buddi. It's as easy as that!
Once the plugin is loaded, you will see it added in the designated place. This will vary by plugin types; for instance, if it is a Report plugin, it will be under the "My Reports" tab. If it is an Export plugin, it will be under File -> Export.
