Stable Downloads
This page contains links to download the current Stable version of Buddi. Buddi is available for a number of operating systems. Click on the name of your operating system below to download the correct version of Buddi:
- Macintosh OS X - Choose this if you are running an Apple Macintosh computer. The operating system version must be either version 10.4 (Tiger) or 10.5 (Leopard); older operating systems will not work.
- Windows - Choose this if you are running a version of Microsoft Windows. Buddi has been tested on Windows XP, 2003, and Vista, but it should work fine on older ones as well.
The default Windows download is an installer package, which will set up file associations, create a start menu item, etc. Alternatively, you can also get a standalone executable, which does not use an installer. You will have to copy this to your desired location, set up shortcuts, and associate .buddi3 files, if desired. This may be useful for using on a USB stick, for instance. - Debian or Ubuntu Linux - Choose this if you are running Debian Linux, Ubuntu Linux, or some distribution based off of Debian, which uses .deb packages for installation.
- Redhat Linux - Choose this if you are running Redhat Linux, or some distribution based off of Redhat, which uses .rpm packages for installation.
RPM Package Coming Soon - if you have experience creating RPM .spec files, please contact Wyatt - Slackware Linux - Choose this if you are running Slackware Linux, or some distribution based off of Slackware, which uses .tgz packages for installation.
- Generic Unix and Linux - Choose this if you are running some other version of Unix or Linux. This package includes a launch script which you can run from the command line.
- All Platforms - Most people will not want to use this package. It contains only a Java Jar file, and does not contain anything to integrate the program with your operating system. This package is mostly useful for testing purposes.
- Buddi Source Code - This is for computer programmers, who are interested in seeing how Buddi works. It contains the source code of the most recently released Buddi version.
- Buddi Plugins - There are a number of plugins available for Buddi. Plugins allow added functionality by extending what Buddi can do. Some plugins include new graphs and reports; others allow importing data files from different accounting programs, etc.
